About Us

Hope For Tomorrow Community Development Center is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to fostering supportive, inclusive, and community-driven initiatives that uplift at-risk children, youth, and their families. Our programs are designed to promote educational opportunities, cultivate positive structures, and encourage civic responsibility for a brighter future. Through mentorship and guidance, we help participants develop their mental, physical, emotional, and social well-being, empowering them to thrive.

We believe in the power of personal accountability, self-esteem, and leadership, essential qualities for leading productive, self-sufficient, and fulfilling lives. Our programs ensure everyone feels included and supported, and we measure success through tangible outcomes that celebrate the growth and achievements of all participants in a caring and empowering environment.

Founder & CEO

CEO and founder of Hope For Tomorrow Community Development Center, she holds a Bachelor’s in Human Services and two Master’s degrees. With 26 years of experience as a social worker and mental health professional, she is also a bestselling children’s author and motivational speaker.

 

Angela Ratliff, CFO for Hope for Tomorrow

CFO

Angela is a Licensed Practitioner Nurse with over 20 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA in Accounting from Lindenwood University. Ms. Ratliff has dedicated her career to providing safe and supportive environments for communities.

Tajuani Shelton holds a Bachelor's in Psychology from Webster University and has over 25 years of experience working with children and families. As a Family Advocate at YWCA Head Start, she’s built strong local partnerships and is committed to her community.

Debra Banks, Community Developmental Director for Hope For Tomorrow

Community Developmental Director

Debra Banks holds a B.S. in Criminology from UMSL and has served as a Correctional and Security Officer. She has mentored adults for over 10 years at Goodwill Industries, helping them earn their HISET. Debra is also an active member of UMSL’s CCJ Club and Phi Theta Kappa honors society.

Delores Swann, a proud graduate of Riverview School District, is the sole proprietor of Swann's Boys Catering and a Certified Nurse Assistant with over 18 years of experience. Passionate about caring for both the elderly and children, she is committed to making a positive impact by helping those in need in any way she can.
